A few for Mandy

These first pictures were from our shoot last month. I had all three of my kids with me, Alyssa was fussy, and these kids weren't super happy to have to sit still when they could see my kids running around. Needless to say, we had to have a second shoot with my hubby in tow. There were several keepers from the first shoot, so here are a few of those.

I love this one!

The second shoot was just as FULL of energy! There was a lot of running around and jumping in leaves. Luckily the weather turned warm again for a few days.

Mandy and Daniel are some of our great Nebraska friends. They make being away from family more bearable.

I think we found the last colorful leaves in Bellevue. I don't know how the people at this house got their leaves to stay on the trees so much longer than everyone else, but thank you!

Good news: Alyssa slept for five straight hours last night!

We have been invaded by ladybugs! They are getting in our house even though we have screens and the windows are shut and locked. This happened last year, too. I'm glad they are ladybugs and not SPIDERS or ANTS!

I know there is a shortage of Me pictures on here, so today is your lucky day. Here I am sporting my new haircut given to me by myself! It was my first try ever. If it looks the same to you, that's a good thing. I just thinned it out (A LOT)! It's actually manageable again.

SNOW!

IN OCTOBER!!!

Alyssa's first snowfall, and she doesn't even seem to care. Jaydan is super excited and can't wait to go sledding. Joshua is extremely upset that the weatherman said it wouldn't stick. He thinks it is too early in fall for snow. He's worried it will snow on Halloween, his favorite holiday.

I know, right?!

A few nights ago I got to stay up late talking with someone I hadn't seen in ages. . .

My cousin Bethany! She was driving home and stopped here for the night. It was so great catching up with her. We don't get to see much family around here. Thanks for the visit (and thanks for Culver's)!

This video is a little dark, but oh so cute. And like I said, you'll have to excuse my cackling. She had just realized she can see out of her crib better if she gets close to the bars.

On a side note, Alyssa woke up with her first tooth this morning!

If I was in Utah I would be taking you to Cafe Rio today. Instead maybe I'll share my secret to not missing Cafe Rio so much anymore. It has something to do with lime and cilantro and tastes delish on tacos.

We went apple picking on Labor Day, first time for our family. I think it will become a tradition. Steve's family did it growing up, and he has a lot of fond memories (and a secret applesauce recipe).

Yes, the boys could reach the apples without sitting on Steve's shoulders, but where's the fun in that? (Just kidding. The boys both got stung by some plant and were afraid to walk through the grass after that.)

This picture was totally staged! She didn't really pick her own apple.

But she did claim one for herself!

It was such a beautiful orchard. I love this pic with the boys picking apples in the background. Honeycrisps were our favorite. (I know you were all wondering.)

And one last shot as we headed back to the car. Now what to do with all those apples. . .
